Enter the World of Audible News
The term podcasting was first spoken of by Ben Hammersley in a British newspaper publication. A podcast is defined as, “a Web-based audio broadcast via an RSS feed, accessed by subscription over the Internet.” I have recently really taken advantage of podcasts – and I can’t believe it has taken me so long! Podcasts are such valuable tools in that they are portable knowledge feeds which can be accessed while driving, walking your dog or just in casual transit. If you have a passion for podcasts or just want to learn more about them, I highly recommend you join the InternetMarketingClub.org’s Marketing Podcasts Group. Here you will find free podcasting resources amongst a variety of marketing discussions, webinars, and just really great people to speak to, network and learn with.
A few podcasts I’m enjoying right now are:
• Internet Business Mastery
• DishyMix
• This Week In Google
• And of course, Ten Golden Rules
And the great thing is all of these [and many others] can be accessed for free on iTunes. Podcasts are an alternative to reading blogs or books and for many is considered a more efficient way to consume your news.
