Do You Know Who Has Access to Your Social Media Accounts?

Do you ever stop to think about how many times you have given permission to a company to access your Facebook account? Or, what about your Twitter account? I know it’s a bit perturbing to think about, but how many apps actually have access to your personal information?

Well, allow me to introduce you to MyPermissions.org.

Leading weblog Lifehacker.com describes the website as, “One Convenient Place to Start Cleaning Up Your Apps Permissions.” Instead of having to dig through the various social media sites for the permissions controls, MyPermissions.org consolidates the links for you in a simple to use, centralized format. No longer do you have to go four links deep to find that buried permission.

You are also given the option to receive monthly email reminders to review your permissions.

Go ahead and try it out. Did you find a lot of apps that you completely forgot about?
