The next GDI?

I've joined a network that is helping average people become the media. They are evening paying people to be a part of it. It's called PyraBang.Com, and what they have come up with is quite revolutionary!

It is a paradigm shift that makes advertiser controlled media obsolete! Advertisers are paid to promote legitimate products or services. Our members can invest in that advertising to increase it's circulation! Faulty products, un-reliable services and companies that "pull one over" on the public can’t survive in this system!

Q. Who is going to pay people to advertise to them?

A. PyraBang pays you up to 5000% to pay other people to get their message out!

Members advertise information not just products and services. They pay members to view information from other members. If someone views information, they pay 1/10 of a cent to the advertiser and make $12 per member who joins the network!

I know, this sounds confusing and I actually didn't 'get it' at first. But trust me on one thing: The compensation program is excellent. It's right up there with GDI (http://www.website.ws/rustylshelton) and TrafficWave (http://www.trafficwave.net/members/rustyshelton/matrix.html ).

The two most important things about Pyrabang are:

1) It actually has utility - i.e. the tool itself is great for Internet Marketing (Just like GDI & TrafficWave)

2) It is new and fresh. Those that earned true fortunes in GDI over the last couple of years were the ones who got in early, before the masses knew about it. Pyrabang is like that right NOW.

You need to go ahead and join up, even if it's just a free account. Please allow me to sponsor you into the network by clicking the link below:

https://www.pyrabang.com/go/rustylshelton

Or you can simply put rustylshelton in the "invitation code" field of the sign-up box on the front page. I think that you'll find this to be very, very interesting...

Free Targeted Website Traffic

Any time I hear the phrase 'Free website traffic', the first thing that comes to mind are traffic exchanges (which I actually like) and/or viral programs that run ads on your site in exchange for running your ad on someone else's site. But I just found something damned clever and original called 'Lead Gusher'. This web site can help you get lots of traffic from search engines using the exact keywords and phrases that relate to your business.

Best of all, the system is 100% FREE for you to use, and it's easy.

http://www.LeadGusher.com/r/rustyshelton/homepage.html

###################

Here's how this thing works:

###################

You supply some basic info: Your business name, your website URL, some short ad text, and a few keywords that relate to your business. The Lead Gusher program then takes this and creates a special "portal" for you that acts as SUPER search-engine bait. What I'm talking about is a unique website, hosted FOR you, that is a self-regenerating SEO machine. It never stops working for you and your business.

Your site is filled with real time, up-to-the-minute content that search engines love, like recent blog posts and news that is generated based on your specific business and the keywords you choose. Since the page is CONSTANTLY updated with relevant content, the search engines keep coming back, and the pages rank very high for visitors searching for the exact stuff you're offering!

YOUR ad and a link to your site appears prominently on the page, and that's where YOUR traffic comes from.

################

Isn't technology sweet?

################

The system is free, and it's got a few built-in extras that can earn you some additional cash. You just have to plug them in when you are signing up.

The main one includes a popular free-to-join affiliate program (GDI), and a lucrative Viral Coop JV program, which pays you daily for any referrals. If you are already in GDI, great. If you have no interest in GDI, it doesn't matter and won't affect the performance of your Lead Gusher portal site. If you don't even know what GDI is or would like to check it out, you can do so here:

http://www.website.ws/rustylshelton

GDI is easy to join and it's a core component of my 30-Day Success System (see upper right corner of this page).

Once you take 5 minutes to set all this up, it can be left alone to run on complete autopilot if you choose to do nothing more. When you're ready to start turning on the free traffic with your own custom Lead Gusher site, you can go here to set it up:

http://www.LeadGusher.com/r/rustyshelton/homepage.html

This is really a great idea. I wish I'd thought of it! Check it out for yourself because I know you'll be impressed.

AdWords Trick - Dynamic Keyword Insertion

Many pay per click advertisers are now using dynamic keyword insertion in their ad copy. Many, however are no getting the most out of this trick because they do not understand the capitalization techniques. The way you use capitalization in your keyword insertion command will directly affect the capitalization in the ad that appears. Here are some ways to control capitalization in your keyword insertion ads.

Lets say a user is searching "ten golden rules". Here is how it will look using different keyword insertion capitalization variations:

If your ad uses this command: {keyword:Internet Marketing}, the ad will read "ten golden rules". (no capitalization)

If your ad uses this command: {Keyword:Internet Marketing}, the ad will read "Ten golden rules". (only the first letter of the first word is capitalized)

If your ad uses this command: {KeyWord:Internet Marketing}, the ad will read "Ten Golden Rules". (the first letter of each word is capitalized)

If your ad uses this command: {KEYWORD:Internet Marketing}, the ad will read "TEN GOLDEN RULES". (all letters are capitalized)

In most cases, it is best to capitalize the first letter of each word (KeyWord:). Play around with some different variations and see how they work for your campaign.

Why Use An Autoresponder?

If your goal is to earn extra income online or to develop a full-time, online business, then you are going to have to learn all about email marketing.

Too many people link the words 'email marketing' with 'spam' and so hesitate to use email ads in order to expand their new affiliate marketing programs. Either that, or they simply don't know what to do or how to do it. In fact, as I first began to grow my own multi-tiered affiliate marketing businesses, I found that the number one obstacle to rapid growth in these programs was that my referrals simply didn't know what to do next after joining. That's a big problem, actually - and it's still a challenge today!

So, to that end, I took a look at my chosen MLM affiliate programs and decided to 'marry them together' by creating a plan - and especially a set of tools - that anyone can use to do the exact same things that I do every day. One absolutely essential tool for online business building is your autoresponder. It's the foundation of everything that you will do with Internet marketing. The autoresponder that I use is TrafficWave.net:

http://www.trafficwave.net/members/rustyshelton

TrafficWave is a core component of my 30-Day Success System (see the upper right corner of this page) and for good reason. It has everything that you will need when it comes to a toolbox for email marketing. But more than that (and this is the best part!), it is also a sizzling, red-hot MLM affiliate business. My philosophy is that everything you do online should be geared toward earning money. With that attitude, I'm not just going to use any autoresponder. I'm picking one for a reason. One of the primary reasons for choosing Trafficwave was (and is) the affiliate program. It's simply wonderful.

But in any downline-building business, the question everybody asks, is: How MUCH do I get paid?

That's the question that you need to have a very good answer for when talking to potential referrals - and that's why my 100%, without a doubt, FAVORITE program is TrafficWave. Not only do I use & recommend it, but it's all about the Affiliate Program. Check this out:

TrafficWave's three part compensation plan is a work of art!

Part I is a basic 3 X 10 matrix that pays out a residual $6.00 per person on your first level and $1.00 per person down an additional nine(9) levels. A whole lot of network marketing people just love matrix-type comp plans because of the "spillover" effect and TEAM concept.

Part II is a "Fast Track" Bonus. The first month you sponsor a new pro member, you'll receive a 100% commission on the new member's first month's membership fee! This is an incredibly important feature.

Finally, Part III of the Trafficwave compensation plan is a Leadership Bonus (paid in addition to your other bonuses!) whereby you can earn up to 50% of the commissions earned by the pro members you've personally sponsored!

Nice program, huh!?

http://www.trafficwave.net/members/rustyshelton

Look, there are other auto-responders out there. I know that. But TrafficWave is the TOTAL PACKAGE. It's a complete, self-contained business and you've just gotta' trust me: The advertising co-op is awesome. It filled my #1 matrix level the first month I was a member.

Folks, for some people, online marketing is nothing more than a hobby. Deep down, they're not really serious about it. It's why they fail. Want a hobby? Collect stamps, catch butterflies or glue macaroni on things. This is a business. And of everything I do online, the one program that I use the most and pays me the most is TrafficWave. And you want to know the best part? It's the most complete and affordable, stand-alone business on the web right now. There's nothing better. TrafficWave isn't fancy. There's no glitz. There's no glamor. It's kind of a plain vanilla, brown, paper wrapper sort of thing. It just WORKS.

If you're not an active member yet, come in - take the plunge and start running your new business right now, today. It's the best thing you'll ever do for yourself and your family.

Customer Reviews & Its Effectiveness

I'm the type of person who does a lot of research on a certain product, restaurant, book or movie before I buy, and I believe that consumer reviews are the most valuable information, next to the actual product. Reviews allow new customers to ease into becoming more comfortable with the potential product or service they are considering investing in.

There are many websites that allow you to add a review about your business, and it's best to let your customers know about these sites so they can return the favor by writing up an honest review. For local businesses, I am a big fan of Yelp.com, which has become popular with local restaurants, but you can basically review any type of business under the blue sky.

A great way for customers to leave testimonials for your business is to direct them straight to the review website, whether it is a link in a thank you email, confirmation page, or in a prominent area on your website.

Other popular websites to view and write consumer reviews are:
Merchant Circle
CitySearch
Google Maps - easiest if you already have a Google Account
InsiderPages
Judy's Book
Kaboodle

Of course, it's best to take any review written with a grain of salt, since anyone can create reviews.

GDI Gold Rush Explained

Here in Texas, lots of kids like to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions by being blindfolded and whacking away at a paper mache container filled with candy and other prizes. It's a lot of fun for kids, that's for sure.

Unfortunately, Internet Marketing can feel a lot like that when you don't know what to do or who to do business with - and that's no fun for us grown-ups. That's why I'd like to say a little bit about something called 'GDI Gold Rush'.

If you are not familiar with GDI (Global Domains International), you should have a look at them: http://www.website.ws/rustylshelton

GDI is a web host with an amazing affiliate marketing plan. They are a very solid company and offer an array of resources for anyone wishing to build an online business marketing their product. During the early portion of my 'Internet Marketing Journey', I tried to do just that - only to give up out of frustration. But that was then and this is now, which brings me to GDI Gold Rush.

What my experience has taught me, and the reason that this blog exists, is that it is impossible for anyone who is new to this business to succeed without help. GDI Gold Rush is a TEAM concept that addresses this issue quite well. The replicated team home page looks like this: http://www.rustys.ws/

The primary benefit of the team concept is saving time. Internet Marketing (no matter what the product or service that you are selling) requires time & money. You can save time by spending money and you can save money by investing your time. But reducing the learning curve with knowledge will save you both.

GDI Gold Rush is such a good idea that I have taken it a step further with my own '30-Day Success System'. (See the upper right portion of this page) My system is built primarily around two lucrative affiliate marketing programs: GDI & TrafficWave

Not only do I introduce you to GDI Gold Rush, but I also show you how to make the most of a second powerhouse affiliate program, and that's TrafficWave (http://www.trafficwave.net/members/rustyshelton). Slowly, steadily and day-by-day, I take you through the steps to build the foundation of a genuine online business that can grow into a satisfying, supplemental income or (ultimately) even replace your job.

In thirty days, I will at least have you on a solid footing that I can promise will shave six months to a year off the time it would take to learn this on your own. Will it teach you everything that you need to know? Of course not. This is a fluid and ever-changing marketplace which requires a lifetime commitment to learning.
I know one thing, though. My methods work for me and my business is steadily growing every month. What's more, most of the people earning fortunes online have only been at it for a few years (some even less).

If you're ready to get started today and work with me, just fill out the little two-line form in the upper right hand corner under '30-Day Success System and click 'submit'. I'll see you on the other side.
Once there, you can take off the blindfold and stop trying to hit the pinata of online success...

Invest in Electronics - Save Money in Recession

Have you been putting off purchasing an Xbox 360 or a PS3 because they are too expensive? I have. But if you think about it, how much do you spend outside the home on entertainment each week? With Xbox as low as $199.99 new, by staying in on Friday night and playing some games, you will quickly make that back in savings. Maybe video gaming is not your thing. There are plenty of small investments that can substitute for going out and paying cover charges, buying drinks, etc. Save your money, buy an Xbox.

NBA Player Tweets During Half Time - Team Wins

Milwaukee Bucks, Charlie Villanueva rushed to his phone during half time against the Boston Celtics to tweet. ""In da locker room, snuck to post my twitt. We're playing the Celtics, tie ball game at da half. Coach wants more toughness. I gotta step up."
It must have worked, he finished with a team high of 19, and the Bucks beat Boston, 86-77. He got a talking to after the game from head coach Scott Skiles...guess he's not a fan of Twitter.

CheckUsernames Checks Your Brand Name Across Social Networks

With the popularity of Twitter and the many people starting to be aware of it, the best advice for businesses would be to secure your brand name. CheckUsernames.com allows you to check your brand name across popular social networks, such as MySpace, YouTube, Twitter, Digg and Flickr. This site not only shows you what usernames have already been taken, but can also give you ideas on social networks to check out you may not have known about.

What is Article Marketing?

'Article Marketing' is a good subject, and one that you will need to become very familiar with in the months and years to come as you develop and grow your Internet business.

Here is a good directory to submit your articles to:
http://newdaddy1.bryxen7.hop.clickbank.net

That's my affiliate link. It will be yours too, of course. In fact, this is a good time to make an important point: you can NEVER have too many legitimate affiliate programs if you intend to either supplement your income with online marketing or do this full-time.

Anyway, back to article marketing. That link I just gave you has a decent free version that fits with my Free 30-day Success System. You can find it at the top of this blog's first page - upper right corner.

Now, technically, this really isn't a good topic for the high-speed GDI Gold Rush concept (which is a component of my system). But, then again, it is. Here's the truth about article marketing: It takes a long time, but you need to do it.

What I mean by that is, you can submit your article to lots and lots of directories but it takes time for them to be accepted and approved. It takes even longer for them to be discovered by the 'web-crawlers', and it takes even longer still for that to result in readers who will check out your linked site. But you know what? It works! Yes, article marketing is an excellent way to drive traffic to your site - LONG TERM - and it's worth it.

You see, part of the problem with explaining the ins and outs of building a real online business is that most people don't want to hear it. What they want to know is, how many thousands they are going to receive in the next 90 days and if they are going to have to 'do' anything. Those are the two things that they want to know.

Hopefully, that doesn't apply to you. However, you do need to think past the initial 30-day effort in my Success System. You are going to need to start laying some markers, setting some beacons and establishing the foundation of a long-term BUSINESS that you will build and grow like any other business. And that involves article marketing.

Did you know that you don't even have to write the articles yourself? Article ghost writers are a dime a dozen. Just use Google. They're easy to find. Same thing for software that generates articles for you. If you want to go that route, it's not a problem but you DO need to produce some articles.

So what does all this mean? Let me sum it up. What you do is generate a short piece (which can range from 5 or 6 paragraphs to as many pages) on a topic related to your sales page. Then you simply link to your sales page at the bottom of the article. That's it. That's all there is to it. In fact, this blog post is an 'article'.

Like I said, you can write them yourself or have someone else write them for you. This isn't hard. The KEY is your link at the end of the article. Your link at the end of the thing is the whole point of the thing.

Article marketing is a big, big deal. Do yourself a favor, do a little research and look into it. It's a must.

Social Networking That pays

Unless you live on a desert island or in a cave with Osama Bin Laden (and probably not even then) you have heard of Facebook and My Space; the two most popular social networking sites on the web. Such places allow you to create a website within a website and interact with others on a global scale.

I have to admit that it took awhile for me to check out these websites at first. Being in my 40’s, I have seen many new technologies and methods of communication appear in my time. It seems like I resisted every one. Cassette tapes from 8-tracks - I resisted the change. CD’s from cassettes - I resisted it. Microwave ovens – I resisted using those. Cell phones – didn’t see the need for them. And yes, I even resisted the Internet; going online much later than my friends and family. Since then, I’ve resisted learning presentation methods such as PowerPoint and, of all things, I’ve resisted online business and online business marketing. That is, until now.

Of course, anyone born in the 80’s and 90’s was probably raised on computers, electronic games, cell phones and the Internet. It’s for this reason that I tended to avoid social networking sites in the past. I just assumed that they were for kids. How wrong I was.

Today, there are networking sites of all kinds, including blogs, discussion boards and the like. For better or worse, they represent the future of human interaction. They are also a tremendous opportunity and new frontier for business people to network and promote goods and services. Most businesses have at least some online components; advertising at the very least. But I have become convinced that many business people are not taking full advantage of what the Internet has to offer. For example, I spend a lot of time these days using a social networking site designed primarily for those involved with MLM. In fact, the creation of a profile there is a business in itself (naturally).

No matter what your business is (whether it’s selling knowledge, products or services), social networking sites can be a superb way to let the buying public know what you have to offer. I guess I’m a slow learner because it took me a long time to go from chatting and blogging as a hobby to using these forums for business. Now when I’m on the Internet, interacting with others, I make certain that the activity furthers my business goals in some way, and I suggest that others do the same. As long as you’re sitting in front of the computer anyway, you might as well be doing something that pays, right?

Social networking, in the right forums, can be of immense value as you strive to develop, grow and promote your MLM business and build relationships. If you haven’t tried them, please do. In time, you will find that it was a very good idea and the perfect way to communicate with those of like mind who aren't your friends and family. However, it must be done properly.

Of particular importance when promoting your MLM business, you must learn to remember the following when structuring your networking page profile:

* This is a people business. Don't get carried away with automation software. Build relationships and the sales will follow. Give personal attention when interacting with others via your networking sites. Be there for them... personally.

* 'Help' ~ the key word is 'help'. That's what your recruits want more than anything else and a well-tailored profile can have quite a bit of that built in. Newcomers don't know what to do and they need to trust that you will help them. Give away a freebie - something genuinely useful and/or inspirational. Linking to a free e-book is a good example.

* Your prospects (i.e. visitors to your profile site) buy you and not any company or product list. That's why the image that your profile projects is so vital. If they buy you, then they'll be open to the offer. They've got to believe that you will help and show them what to do. The subtle irony is that, at the end of the day, your MLM networking profile isn't about you. It's about the wants and desires of anyone who links to it. Be a servant.

* Many of your prospects have the equivalent of a 'fear of heights' when it comes to taking action and being in motion. In your profile, talk less about your company and its products and more about how you will help them do what you do - the way you do it.

* Avoid clutter in your profile layout. Don't over communicate. Keep it clear and simple. Tailor it to people who can work a program in their spare time. Most visitors to your profile site have full-time jobs and full-time responsibilities in their lives. Don't use your profile to barrage them with information. Keep your message crisp and targeted.

* Last but not least, be patient. You need to be as patient with this type of promotional effort as you are with any other. Let it take a little time and don't give up if you're not a millionaire by next week. The way I network online, I share freely everything that I do - both what works and what doesn't. Be open, be genuine and be willing to share your knowledge and experience with others and I promise that you will do just fine.

Unique Twitter Marketing Tactics

This past week, Maggianos promoted a gift certificate using Twitter. All you had to do was follow @Maggianos and send the tweet “Follow @Maggianos by 5pm CST to be entered to win $100 in Maggiano's gift certificates.” Once one person tweeted about it, more people would see that tweet in their feed and if they wanted to enter the contest (and why wouldn't you NOT want to, it's free, right?) tweet it as well, because the offer was valuable for others to tweet about it. Even after the contest, Maggianos will be able to reach its followers who entered the contest by providing discounts, new menu additions or even new Maggiano restaurant openings.

For businesses who offer products or services, Twitter would be a great idea to promote a contest where entering was as simple as tweeting about the contest. The Palm Beach Post recently has been doing this as, but in the form of asking its followers trivia questions with the winner receiving free Muvico tickets.

Twitter can be a great place to learn about current news, interesting blog posts and now even win free stuff. As long as you provide useful value, there won’t be any reason why other Twitter users shouldn’t follow you.

Want To Get Media Attention?

Seth Godin posted a great article about his differences on publicity and PR. He explains that, “PR is the strategic crafting of your story,” while publicity, “is the act of getting ink.” When talking about public relations, publicity is only one tactic to bringing attention to your company.

I want to share a list of “tactics” companies should be using to gain publicity and have the public buzzing about your product/brand/service:

Media Relations - contact the media! Use Twitter and Facebook, present them with stories that way. Provide them with links to your ideas, or press releases that you’ve written. Make them aware of upcoming news conferences, press tours.

Special Events – Host open houses, fund-raisers, trade shows, ceremonies, contests, stunts, receptions, speeches by V.I.P’s at your location. Invite local dignitaries and be sure to let your local media outlet know of what’s taking place and who is coming.

Letters to Editors – Send letters to your local newspaper for the Op Ed sections responding to news items where you are an expert. Let them know you can used as a resource for information about topics.

Sponsorships – Get involved with you local sports team or chamber of commerce, sponsor an event or a season. However, leverage this by making sure your sponsorship will be acknowledged on advertising, programs, uniforms, posters, or other promotional materials.

Donate to local charities - Even though a donation has to be very large to make the news, a consistent commitment to giving back to your community by supporting local charities will enhance your image. When you donate, ask for acknowledgment in newsletters, plaques, or other promotional materials they may have.

Improve Your Quality Score

When advertising in Google AdWords, quality score can mean the difference between profitable and break-even campaigns. Small tweaks to your campaign can be enough to improve your quality score enough to lower your cost per click. Especially if you are in a field with growing competition, you may see the cost per click of your keywords rising to the point that you just can't make any money. By raising that quality score, you may just be able to get the cost back down and start making money again.

The simplest way to improve your quality score is to take the time to break your campaigns down to highly specific ad groups. Instead of a single ad group with 20 somewhat similar keyword phrases, break it into four or five ad groups with four or five keyword phrases in each. For the ads in a specific ad group, include the keyword phrases in the ad copy. On the landing page for that ad group, include the wording you used in the ads. By simply separating keywords into ad groups, you will improve the relevancy of your ads and landing pages and effectively lower your cost per click.

Online Advertising That Works

'Online advertising that works'

I'd say that's pretty much the pot at the end of the Internet rainbow, wouldn't you? But if you were to ask me what kind of Internet advertising really works, I'd have to answer with, "It depends."

What works for me might not work for you because of many different reasons. It also depends upon your product or service and, of course, who your target audience is. To be honest, the Internet isn't necessarily the best place to advertise every single thing because there's so much 'noise'. I advertise on the Internet a LOT and that's a good thing for you if you're in my TrafficWave matrix (http://www.trafficwave.net/members/rustyshelton) because it benefits my entire team. But I also promote off-line as well. Of course, that involves the dreaded word, 'work'. Handing out my card and/or leaving it behind everywhere is still quite effective.

You know what? I've actually been getting some results from advertising on a restaurant menu at a local Mexican food place. It's true. For $25 a month, my little ad is exposed to every patron who orders food there and that place is packed on the weekends. That's one of the secrets to being effective: advertise where no one else is.

What kind of advertising (online or off) works? The kind that involves energy and creativity from you. Promoting a good affiliate matrix like TrafficWave works because everyone else in your team is doing likewise. But the main thing is to be persistent and consistent. Make a plan and stick with it because some of your promotional efforts might not pay off for months.

TrafficWave offers a variety of online advertising tools that I use every day. If you're interested, you can try them FREE for 30 days. It's a good idea because that's how I got started: http://www.trafficwave.net/members/rustyshelton

Get $1,000 Worth of Advertising from Google

In an attempt to create some buzz around their new Display Ad Builder Tool, Google began a contest to see how creative advertisers can be using this tool. The tool was created as an easy way for advertisers to create static image and animated ads for use on the AdWords content network. Using professionally designed templates, people with little or no design experience can build display ads for their business in minutes.

The first place winner, based on the creativity of their ad and innovation in using the tool, will receive $1,000 in AdWords credits. Put on your creative hats and enter the contest by simply filling out their entry form. Hurry up because the contest ends March 24.

Want to be an Internet DJ? Check out Blip.FM

I believe in the rule of 3's for new internet products. The first time I hear about something I make a mental note, the second time I might check it out, if I hear about a new product or service for a third time I know that must give it a test drive.

I had been hearing about Blip.FM and then within 1 week Shawn Collins the founder of Affiliate Summit linked me to a Blip from Twitter and tonight one of the brightest young minds in social media, Amanda Mooney introduced me to a dynamic band called Vampire Weekend and this song Ottoman on her Blip.

So far I like it! The site plays some excellent fresh sounding music based on the DJ's recommended to me through 3 songs I selected when I registered.

Check out my 'blip':
