Have You Reserved Your About.me Page?

Although About.me was founded almost a year ago and still operating in stealth mode, you may find it worthwhile to reserve your name. About.me offers a custom “splash-like” page essentially providing a single online identity, pulling in your Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and other social media presences. The site explains it has two focus points:

1) creating a personal, dynamic profile page that points users to your content around the web
2) understanding how many people see your profile, where they’re coming from, and what they do on your page via a personal analytics dashboard

About.me is currently being used by a selected few such as Angel Investor, Tim Ferriss and TechCrunch Founder, Michael Arrington. Others such as Facebook Expert, Mari Smith are already reserving their names (I first learned of this from a Mari Smith tweet). So, although you can’t sign up just yet, it may be worth at least reserving your name. I’m sure we can all agree over the past several years, we have learned firsthand of the importance to securing your name or brand amongst services such as this in the beginning, while you still can.

Do you think you or your business might find a service such as this useful?
