TrafficWave - OceanSwell TEAM Update (#66)

Global NPN was chosen as a second program for the Team Oceanswell co-op because of it's remarkable purity as an MLM-style affiliate program. Speaking strictly from the MLM side of it alone, Global NPN is excellent.  For one thing, the company (and ownership) has a great reputation and has been around a long time. That's really, really important for major promotions! Secondly, the affiliate pay plan is easy to understand, it's easy to get into profit fast and it's also scalable. Because of it's simplicity, it was (and remains) the perfect compliment to the primary affiliate program of Team OceanSwell, which is (of course) TrafficWave.

But in the past month or so, a few issues have arisen that need to be addressed and/or cleared up. First and foremost is the very nature of the Team OceanSwell idea itself. We're over a year old now, and have evolved considerably in a number of ways.  So much has changed (and contiues to) that about the only thing that binds us all together is the name (Team OceanSwell), the general idea of the Team Ad/Team Rotator system, our core programs (TrafficWave and Global NPN) and the fact that we are all in the same downlines.  Other than that, there are numerous Teams within the Team.  It can be confusing, I admit!  But in order to keep these Rotator lists from becoming too long, we have routinely broken up into smaller groups over the past year.  Besides me, there are other well-known Team Leaders as well.  But as these sub-teams are formed, they also tend to evolve on their own.  That is why Didi runs her team differently than I do and Terrence says different things in his ads then I do.  We're different people with different ideas.  The problem arises, though, when Didi's methods get confused with mine or somebody reads a letter that Terrence wrote and thinks he got it from me.  We are different teams within a larger team, understand?

Think of it like car dealerships.  They can all be General Motors dealers, but they will run their businesses in very different ways!

The other thing I want to address here is the fact that some people will join our Team-Build for Global NPN and then quit.  I get lots and lots of emails from people upset that they've lost downline members and want to know 'what I'm going to do about it' or 'how I'm going to make it up to them'.  The answer to both questions should be obvious, but here it is anyway:  I'm not going to do anything other than what I've been doing, I am doing and will continue to do.  And that is promote our Team Ads and Team URL links anywhere and everywhere I can, and in every conceivable way.  What I would like to know is, why don't more people do the same thing?  The Team-Build co-op can only do so much, so fast... and I am only one person and there are only 24 hours in a day.  There is nothing stopping any Team Member from making their own squeeze/splash pages, creating their own website, blog, etc.

If you have a downline in Global NPN, then good for you!  There are many Team Members who are still waiting for their turn through the Rotator.  They don't want to hear about your lost referrals and neither do I.  I just don't have the time for it, and I can't spend all day answering emails.  There is no time.  If you have a downline already, then you - yes, you - should be doing everything in your power to maintain and grow it.  That involves energy, creativity and (above all else) leadership.  The system obviously works, otherwise nobody would have referrals to begin with.  But if the Rotator placed new Team Members beneath you, then you've had your turn and my PRIORITY is working for those who haven't had their turn yet.  That's only fair, right?  Would you expect something different?

And the fact that people join and then quit isn't such a bad thing.  I audit the Rotator on a weekly basis (which is a big job in itself) and dead accounts get dropped by NPN after 60 days of idle status.  That means that the Rotator list shortens for those who stick around and you can suddenly get new downline members from the action of compression and spillover within the matrix.

Last but not least, there is some confusion about whether or not being a TrafficWave affiliate is a pre-requisite to joining the Team-Build for Global NPN.  For my group, it isn't.  But Didi may have a different rule for her organization.  As far as Team OceanSwell is concerned, we are all one big Global NPN team.  But there are teams within the team, acting and promoting in different ways.  Please remember that.  Also, remember that (so long as you are part of this team) there is nobody on earth working harder to help you than I am - every single day of the week.

"If thou workest at that which is before thee, following right reason, seriously, vigorously, calmly, without allowing anything else to distract thee, but keeping thy divine part pure as if thou shouldest be bound to give it back immediately,--if thou boldest to this, expecting nothing, fearing nothing, but satisfied with thy present activity according to nature, and with heroic truth in every word and sound which thou utterest, thou wilt live happy. And there is no man who is able to prevent this."  ~ MARCUS ANTONINUS.
