Are You Tweeting About Mac & Cheese?

Although you typically see this type of campaign on Facebook rather than Twitter, I’m happy to see the marketers behind Microsoft’s “Laptop Hunters”, explore the potential of Twitter via “Mac & Jinx”. As part of a new program that has been quietly rolled out, whenever two individuals use the phrase “mac & cheese” in a tweet, they each receive a link directing them to “Mac & Jinx”. Mashable explains, the first one to click the link and provide Kraft with his/her address receives five free boxes of Kraft’s Mac & Cheese and a t-shirt.

As a fitness advocate, I am not crazy about the idea of promoting “mac & cheese,” but I do like seeing companies branch out their marketing campaigns to Twitter. Twitter is frequently undervalued as some may say it is overshadowed by the big giant, Facebook.

Have you tested a similar Twitter marketing campaign with your business?
