Get More People to “Like” Your Business

Looking for a new way to attract more attention to your company? A combination of e-mail marketing mixed with social media may be just what you have been searching for. A promising new trend in internet marketing is creating cross promotions between email campaigns and social media networks.
As an example, one Ohio pet food company created an email-based promotion offering a $20 coupon that requires customers to sign up to the company’s newsletter and “Like” them on Facebook. The hook, according to Mashable, is that the coupon could only be activated when the Facebook fan page reached a particular number of fans, encouraging coupon holders to spread the word. The company found this promotion to be extremely successful in widening their fan base.
Another way to take advantage of this matching of mediums is to cross-promote contests and prizes. Your company’s email newsletter, for example, could announce a product giveaway on its Facebook page to encourage new fans. These are just a few of the ways that businesses can take advantage of the pairing of email marketing and social media. These days, a business can use all the “friends” it can get.
