Would you ever post for someone to come and help you in a time of need on Facebook or Twitter? In Minnesota, a 15 year old was too scared to call the police from his cell phone as his mom’s boyfriend was beating on her. So, at 2am, he posted, “would somebody please call 911 — my mom’s boyfriend won’t let her use the phone this is serious.” One of his friends had actually called the police who responded and arrested the man, potentially saving the woman’s life.
So I ask, had you ever been in a situation where you couldn’t call anyone, but texted or reached out to the 695 closest friends you never talk to but on Facebook for help in a scary situation?
